Hey folks, I'm new to the area, living in Ballston and working on North Capitol. Any suggestions for good local knitting shops or friendly stitch n' bitches? Thanks!
i live in the dc metro area. i knit.i'll go ahead and give a shout out to stitch dc at 1071 wisconsin ave in georgetown. they're friendly and helpful. they even answered my question without selling me anything. just don't get the address wrong like i did, because you'll be walking like way far away from georgetown. and uphill no less.if this community gains interest, maybe we could set up a monthly knitting circle at a coffee shop or something. that'd be cool.
If you knit, crochet or want to learn how to do so and you live in the DC metro area, this group is for you.Hello everyone, I'm Nat your friendly mod/knitter. I haven't been knitting for all that long, but that's sort of the point of these things, to learn. I felt that there must be more people who are interested in getting to know other knitters, exchange patterns, discuss places to buy knitting supplies. Please let others know about this group. Even friends who don't have livejournals. The whole point is discourse and sharing of something you love to do.Please join the community, introduce yourself.Knit one, purl two!Natasha
